The French Tech initiative creates a positive dynamic in Russia, uniting French and Russian innovation ecosystems and leaders.

As a fast growing and innovative company, it’s a great chance for Weblib to participate in The French Tech Tour in Moscow, develop its activities and implement its solutions in Russia.

The French Tech Tour in Moscow consists of  a series of conferences, training sessions, meetings with clients, prospects, partners and investors. It’s a week of immersion and preparation for a successful entry into the Russian market.

From May 30th to June 3rd, the winners of the French Tech Tour Moscow will benefit from a program developed by Business France. The goal of the program is to maximize the chances of participants succeeding in international development and implementation into the local market.

The IT and telecommunications market in Russia is booming. It is the largest in Europe, supported by a population of about 147 million inhabitants, nearly 90 million Internet users, 35 million online shoppers and the strongest global penetration of social networks.

It’s a market that has a strong appetite for new technologies, telecom, Internet, e-commerce, big data, connected objects, e-health, etc.

Telecom – Internet: 1st European market with 241.5 million mobile customers and 90 million Internet users. Deployment of 5G in partnership with Huaweï expected by 2018.

E-commerce: set to become the first European market with a growth of 20% per year, a population of 35 million shoppers (or ¼ of the population) and a turnover of 18 billion EUR.

Innovation: rise of an innovation ecosystem (accelerators, venture capital funds and public and private startups). 94% of fundraising in the field of IT, including more than half in e-commerce.

The development of innovative digital products and solutions such as connected objects, smart technologies, data analytics, etc., has a lot of potential in Russia, but is still very new to the market.

Weblib has a chance to participate in Skolkovo Startup Village, the largest international startup conference for technology and innovation in Russia and CIS.

The announced agenda features various workshops, conferences and round table discussions. Experts of international innovation across Russia, Asia, Europe and North America will share their expert knowledge on various topics from mobile innovative solutions for retail to artificial intelligence and virtual reality.
